Ready to Retire Seminars and Webinars

Attend an in-person seminar or webinar to learn about pension plan features, life insurance and long-term disability benefits (for eligible members), the retirement process, and more!

This year, in addition to our MSEP 2011 webinars, MOSERS is offering in-person Ready to Retire seminars for MSEP 2011 members in Jefferson City, Macon, and Blue Springs!

We also have two new educators on our team who are looking forward to helping you learn more about your MOSERS benefits!

Molly Stern

Molly Stern, Educator: Molly is a former public-school educator with more than sixteen years of teaching experience in Missouri and Maine, primarily teaching English language arts, math, science, and social studies to secondary-level students. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Central Methodist University and completed graduate coursework in special education from the University of Maine. In 2022, Molly joined the MOSERS team as a benefit counselor and was recently promoted to an educator.

Molly enjoys spending time with family, watching baseball (or other sports from November through February), and breathing in fresh air during outside activities, regardless of the season. If the weather is truly uncooperative, she relishes getting lost in a spectacular novel or movie.

John Wells

John Wells, Educator: John is a media professional with more than 30 years of experience working for many state agencies, including the Missouri Lottery, and elected officials. Most recently, he worked at the Missouri House of Representatives handling video production and live streaming chamber proceedings. John’s career has included work for the University of Missouri System as a strategic communications manager, a producer for KOMU, and a radio personality with KCMQ. He earned two degrees from the University of Missouri, including a Bachelor of Arts in communication and a Master of Public Administration. In 2024, John joined the MOSERS team as an educator.

John enjoys spending time on Missouri’s beautiful scenic waterways, playing music, and performing on stage at the Little Theatre of Jefferson City.
