Email Address

MOSERS requires that you have a primary email address on file before you can create a myMOSERS login. We recommend using a personal email instead of a work email. Creating your account with a personal email will allow continuous access in the event of job changes and work email address changes. Work email addresses are still accepted, as some members may only have a work email address.

How do I add my email or verify which email address is on file with MOSERS?

What if I have a myMOSERS account and want to change my email address on file with MOSERS?

Log in to myMOSERS, select Change Profile, and update your email address.

Can I have more than one email address on file?

Yes, you may add an alternate email address. The primary email address on file with MOSERS is used as verification during the creation of your myMOSERS account.


Online ID

What are the guidelines for creating an Online ID?
  • Minimum 6 characters with a maximum of 150 characters.
  • Must not be an existing Online ID.
  • Must not contain your National ID/Social Security number.
  • Must not contain your Member ID.
  • Must not match your Password.
  • Must not contain spaces.
  • Must contain a number.
  • Cannot contain only numbers.
What if I created an Online ID but forgot it?

If you forget your Online ID, click Forgot Online ID. If you do not receive an email with your Online ID, contact MOSERS at (800) 827-1063 or (573) 632-6100.


Verification Code

A verification code is a temporary code used to confirm your identity when logging into accounts. Verification codes can be generated in an authentication app, texted to a text-enabled phone, or sent to an email address.

When will MOSERS ask for a Verification Code?

Create myMOSERS Login - When creating a myMOSERS login, if you enter only the required email address the verification code will be sent in an email. If you enter both the required email address and optional text-enabled phone number, your verification code will be sent via text message.

Existing myMOSERS Login - On the first login after resetting your password, you will see the Change Profile screen where you will select your preferred method of multi-factor authentication and verify that method. A verification code will be sent to the selected method of multi-factor authentication.

Verification Code Facts:

  • The code must go to an email address, text-enabled phone number, or generated in an authenticator app.
  • The code may be used only one-time.
  • The code expires after 15 minutes.
What if I never received the Verification Code?

Click the link to Resend Verification Code button. If you still do not receive a verification code, contact MOSERS at (800) 827-1063 or (573) 632-6100.


Passwords

What are the password requirements?
  • Minimum 12 characters with a maximum of 64 characters.
  • Passwords are case sensitive.
  • Must not be a previously used password.
  • Must not be on a known breached password list.
  • Must not contain your National ID/Social Security number.
  • Must not contain your Online ID.
  • Must not contain your Member ID.
  • Must not contain spaces.
  • Must contain at least 3 of the following:
    • Upper case
    • Lower case
    • Number
    • Special character  ! # $ ( ) * + , . / : ; ? @
How can I create a strong password and keep my password secure?
  • Consider substituting numbers for letters.
  • Consider using a passphrase.
  • Do not write down your password.
  • Do not share your password with family or friends.
  • Do not reuse passwords you use for other accounts.
What if I forgot my password?

If you forget your password, click Forgot Password to retrieve it by email.

What if I don't have a password or not sure if I have one?

Multi-Factor Authentication

What is Multi-Factor Authentication?

Multi-Factor Authentication is a security mechanism that requires users to provide two or more verification methods to gain access to a system, application, or account. This approach enhances security by adding multiple layers of protection, making it significantly harder for unauthorized individuals to gain access to account or sensitive information.

How is MOSERS using Multi-Factor Authentication?

To protect your personal information, MOSERS will require you to setup Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) when creating a new account or upon login into an existing account. Your password is the first method of verification. You will choose a second method for verification: an Authenticator App (most secure), text-enabled phone number, or email address (least secure). If you choose the authenticator app, you will download your chosen authenticator app to your phone during this process.

When do I choose the type of Multi-Factor Authenication I want to use?

Create a myMOSERS Login - After creating your Online ID and Password, you will be required to return to login and login to your newly created account. On the first login, you will be required to set up your MFA on the Change Profile screen.

Existing myMOSERS Login - On the first login into the new myMOSERS, you will be required to set up your MFA on the Change Profile screen.
