COLAs
MOSERS provides an annual cost-of-living allowance (COLA) to eligible
retired members and their surviving beneficiaries. In general,
your annual COLA will be payable in the same month each year
for your lifetime.
You may waive your COLA; however, federal law forbids you from waiving your
COLA once you are over age 70 1/2. In addition, if you decide to waive the
COLA, the waiver is final for that year's increase.
