Missouri Veterans: Have You Heard...?
Some members of MOSERS’ Retiree Connection group would like to let other veterans know about the Veterans Awards Program. Veterans, spouses of veterans, or eldest living survivors of veterans may apply through the Missouri Adjutant General’s office, if they meet certain requirements. Each award includes a medal, medallion and certificate. Awards are available for veterans of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. World War II veterans who were in the D-Day invasion may also be eligible for the Jubilee of Liberty medal.
Each has a separate application, which is available on the Missouri National Guard’s website. On this site, you can read the list of qualifications for each award and pictures of the World War II and Jubilee of Freedom medals.
