For 2007, MOSERS will offer two separate and distinct
seminars.
| Money Matters Workshop |
Most valuable for members in their
20’s, 30’s, and 40’s.
During this seminar, employees will have the
opportunity to learn about getting their current
finances under control, and gathering and protecting
their assets in the future. They’ll also
gain a better understanding of the important
role that state-sponsored benefits play in their
financial plan. They should learn the importance
of early planning and identify tools which can
help accomplish their financial goals.
- This seminar is designed to assist members
in taking an active role in their financial
future. Information will be most valuable
to members in their 20’s, 30’s,
and 40’s; however, anyone is welcome
to attend. We encourage the member to bring
a spouse or a guest along for the journey.
- All seminars begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.
and conclude at approximately 12:00 p.m. Participants
are encouraged to check in by 8:15 a.m.
- Enrollment in this seminar is free of charge.
Since enrollment in each seminar is limited,
we recommend reservations be made immediately.

We encourage employers to attend any of our training
seminars. Not only are they full of valuable information,
you will be better prepared to answer seminar questions
from your employees. As a pay rep, you may attend
the Pre-Retirement Planning Seminar at no charge.

| Pre-Retirement Seminar |
Most valuable for members within
5 years of retirement.
Encourage employees to join MOSERS for a day
of pre-retirement planning to find out what
to expect at retirement. They will learn how
benefits are calculated, discover what options
are available, follow a step-by-step time table,
and gain a better understanding of BackDROP.
Representatives from the Social Security Administration,
Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan (MCHCP),
and the State of Missouri Deferred Compensation
Plan (CitiStreet) will also be there.
- This seminar will be most helpful to members
within 5 years of retirement. They are welcome
to bring a guest.
- All seminars will begin at 8:30 a.m. and
will conclude at approximately 4:00 p.m.
- Enrollment in this seminar is $10 per person
(i.e. member & guest will be $20). This
fee covers coffee, tea, lunch, and educational
materials. Because of the $10.00 fee, Pre-Retirement
Planning seminar registrations must be sent
by mail. Online registering is not available
for this seminar.
