Web Videos MOSERS’ first educational web videos are now posted on our website. MOSERS’ staff wrote, produced, and star in these videos. They are all around 5 minutes long, and can be watched 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The first three video topics include: Understanding MOSERS Life Insurance Defined Benefit Plan Basics Calculating Your 2000 Plan Retirement Benefit To watch the videos, log on to MOSERS’ website, click on “Videos” on the left menu, and choose the topic that interests you. Please complete the survey after watching each video to let us know what you think. Check back for more topics in the future.

HR Conference 2008 Reminder

The 2008 HR Conference is set for September 9th at the Country Club Hotel in Lake Ozark. This year, in keeping with its green theme, the HR Conference will send out electronic invitations via email instead of by paper mail. Keep an eye on your inbox for details and continue to look for more registration details on the Employer section of MOSERS’ website. Remember, to get the reduced room rate for the conference, contact the Country Club Hotel at 800-964-6698 and mention the HR Conference.

PreRetirement Seminar Added

Due to requests from members, we have ADDED an additional PreRetirement Planning seminar in Rolla for June 12, 2008. Seating is limited to 40. Members are encouraged to register online. The code to enter for this seminar is: 3061213. The cost is $10 and includes lunch. Debit/Credit Card payment can now be made online, or members can print out the registration form and mail in payment. Contact Betty Kinney with any questions 573-632-6196 or bettyk@mosers.org . (Rolla may be an alternative for members who are unable to attend other summer seminars in Jefferson City or St. Louis. Travel time from Jefferson City is about an hour, from St. Louis, about 1 1/2 hours.)

SEBES Information

A Benefits Overview presentation is now available on the Statewide Employee Benefit Enrollment System (SEBES) website. The presentation can be used for new employee orientations and can be located under “Publications” on the employer portion of the SEBES site. The presentation is also available on the employee portion of SEBES. If you would like to have the actual PowerPoint presentation emailed to you, please contact JoAnn Looten at joannl@mosers.org. Updated copies of screen prints of employee web pages are now also available under “Publications” on the SEBES site.

Building a Better Website Survey Closing Soon The MOSERS online HR Website survey will be closing soon. Please take a few moments to help MOSERS build a better website that will continue to serve our members for years to come. Aged Accounts, Terminated, and Transfer Reports Your reports are available online in the secure portion of MOSERS’ website. Please go to MOSERS' website and click on the Employer Login section of the site. Use your social security number and employer password to sign on. Once you are signed on, click on the applicable report. Names of individuals responsible for working the reports will appear on the right. You may view any or all portions of the report by clicking on the appropriate name or department. The reports are printer friendly and available online until MOSERS begins processing the next month’s report.
